The CINE Golden Eagle Competition, a prestigious, 55-year old competition based on peer recognition of excellence in film, television, and new media, is accepting submissions for the Fall 2012 Competition. Past recipients of the CINE Golden Eagle Award include Mel Brooks, Steven Spielberg, Ken Burns, Ron Howard, Mike Nichols, Albert Maysles, Martin Scorsese, and many other industry notables.   CINE accepts a broad range of professional, independent and student productions in a variety of categories including documentary, fiction, history, arts, science, advertising, and much more. Series submitted for Golden Eagle consideration can receive special recognition for Excellence in Televised Series. And this Spring, CINE launched the Original Digital™ Division, which accepts entries of original, made-for-digital programming in both fiction and non-fiction categories, including comedy, drama, animation, documentary and reality.

Thanks to our sponsors, we are pleased to offer prizes: Through the generosity of CINE Vice President Gary Lico, President and CEO of CABLEready, the top independent and student documentary filmmakers of 2012 will receive a complimentary meeting with CABLEready, which will evaluate their work, and offer mentoring with a goal toward distribution of the winning films. The winner of the Masters Award in the Independent Division for 2012 will receive the Henninger Media Services Award, an in-kind grant of $5,000 worth of post-production services.
