The land of my parents' birth.
I'm so happy that you are still standing even though you're not standing as strong as you could be.
At 52 years old I expected so much more of and from you.
I am disappointed because of your enormous potential that isn't harnessed.
But I understand that your limitless potential may never be harnessed and realized.
I know you and have come to accept and understand that you are what you are.
As I wallow in pity for you, other people from other African countries tell me they envy you.
When I complain that you have issues, they say at least you have things to have issues about.
So now I see you in a more holistic way, which is a combination of how I & others see you.
Now I see, love, accept and respect you in totality, flaws and all.
So, I wish you a happy birthday
