Madame Tussauds celebrates the life and legacy of the late Whitney Houston. The new wax figures were unveiled during a ceremony held in New York on Thursday, February 7, 2013. The Houston family was in attendance as each individual figure was installed in the four U.S.-based Madame Tussauds attractions in New York City, Washington, D.C., Hollywood and Las Vegas. The superstar is the first to have four wax figures unveiled at the same time.
On Monday, February 11, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas unveiled a wax figure of singer, actress and producer Whitney Houston in Las Vegas.
The first single from Houston’s second studio album was titled “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and earned the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 30th Grammy Awards in 1988.
The song’s accompanying video became one of Houston's best recognized music videos and ran in heavy rotation on MTV, VH1, and BET. At Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, Houston’s wax figure will be styled in the same way she appeared in the video, wearing a tight purple-pink tank dress and blonde curly hair.
“We are excited for one of Whitney’s four amazing figures to reside in our music room here in Las Vegas alongside other music legends,” remarked Madame Tussauds Las Vegas General Manager Rosita Chapman.

Is it just me or does this Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance With Somebody wax figure look a little off? The hair is on point, love the make up and earrings, and the dress and shoes are great.
But when you look at her arms there's somethin' about the way her left hand is positioned on her hip. Hmmm. Looks a little scary but it could just be me.
