Do you have tough footage challenges? If you have too little guidance or too many opinions, elusive footage sources, budget woes, licensing or rights dilemmas - send your questions in!
The upcoming Women in Film and Television International Summit takes place Nov. 30-Dec. 2, 2012 in Washington, D.C. It includes a powerhouse panel of footage experts with distinct perspectives:
Bonnie Rowan, an independent researcher whose public domain expertise includes comprehensive knowledge of the vast collection at the U.S. National Archives Elizabeth Klinck, an independent researcher and clearance specialist , and founding chairperson of the Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada Nan Halperin, from ITN Source, one of the world’s largest, most diverse, global footage archives Jocelyn Shearer, from the recently launched stock library, Discovery Access and prior archive experience at National Geographic, Corbis and Getty Images Peter Jaszi, an American University intellectual property law expert, who works with American University’s Center for Social Media to promote the understanding of fair use by documentarians
We are looking for questions to garner expert insights and opinions which we will share in a post-conference wrap up. Here are a few samples to get you started:
Can you you fair use a clip for international distribution? Where are the strongest collections of pre-World War II daily life footage in Middle Eastern nations? Does fair use apply to local television station newscast footage, and if it does, what are some tips to get your hands on it?
Looking forward to your most challenging and provocative questions. Include enough details for panelists to weigh in, and, if you are in D.C. on Nov. 30-Dec. 2, check out the Summit schedule, at wifv.org/wiftisummit and join us in person at the conference!

Support Millstone & Put the Spotlight on Abuse!

To contact us Click HERE

The goal of this event is to raise awareness about sexual abuse by making Millstone a bestseller. If everyone buys a copy on Amazon starting at noon on 11/26/12, we can make this a reality. This is NOT a ploy to make money, even though a portion of the proceeds do go to organizations that fight to end sexual abuse. The goal is to get into the mainstream media and the bestseller lists to show the victims that we are here for them, and to tell the organizations who have the means and the control to protect these abusers that we will not allow this anymore. Together, we can beat them at their own game.

Go to www.facebook.com/MillstoneTheNovel, Like the page, and invite your friends to follow suit. Then on 11/26/12, starting at noon, go to the Facebook page to support the book and to participate! Share stories, and tell the victims who are there that you support them. Together, we can make this event successful. Together, we can bring sexual abuse to an end!
          * * * * * WheelMan Press http://www.millstonebook.com/ wishes to thank you for visiting this website. We, as a publisher, believe everyone has the right to be heard. With Millstone, we knew we had to help spread the word about institutionalized abuse, and to help to get the word out into the mainstream media where it can no longer be ignored or swept under the rug, so that we can finally bring this, and every other form of abuse, to an end.

We truly hope you will support Millstone and help us raise awareness about this institutionalized form of crime, and to let all of the victims of these horrendous acts know that they are not alone.
* * * * *
In today's world, organizations have deep pockets to cover up any accusations of abuse leveled at them. They control the media, and can manipulate and intimidate the victims, making them afraid to speak out. The only way to beat them at their own game is to take control of the media and say “ "hey this is happening!" Millstone speaks out against priest abuse and the cover ups by the powerful Catholic Church. But other organization will have to take notice as well. We don't care what uniform you wear abuse is abuse, and it must stop now!

On November 26, 2012, we are all coming together to support Millstone to make it a bestseller. If Millstone makes the bestseller lists, it will show these organizations that the people are united in their desire to support the victims to bring these criminal acts to an end. They cannot control the bestseller lists, and getting Millstone onto those lists will elevate the prominence of this issue to a level that cannot be silenced, that cannot be denied.

So, on November 26, 2012, please go to our Facebook page or   https://www.facebook.com/MillstoneTheNovel at 12:00 noon US Eastern Standard Time, and buy a copy of the book for you, your friends, and your family. A part of the proceeds will go to support the victims.

Purchase Millstone in print form at http://wlmpr.us/MILLSTp  or in ebook form at http://wlmpr.us/MILLSTk

Nina Garcia's New Upper East Side Digs in October Architectural Digest

To contact us Click HERE
I have three of Nina Garcia's style books.  "The Little Black Book of Style", "The One Hundred" and "Style Strategy".  I love the fashion advice and secretly can't get enough of theillustrations by Ruben Toledo.  I adore Nina!  She's smart, savvy and has the most impeccable style.  It's because of her style and love of great art, that I couldn't wait to get a peek inside her Manhattan home. The space, which is featured in the October issue of "Architectural Digest", has all the elements of a well edited wardrobe, timeless pieces, delicate textures, and smart uses of color. I'm enthralled by the art!  It's simple, yet seems so alive.  I'm instantly drawn in by it. I also love the striped fabric on the back of the chairs.

5 Amazing Rooms You'll Love For Fall

This is one of my favorite rooms by Elaine Griffin.  I love love love the color scheme!  I love the yellow and the soft brown leather that she uses in the space.  I love this space for fall because I think it would be an amazing place to have dinner parties.  Can't you just imagine them going well into the night?

Maybe it's the wood in the corner.  Maybe it's the idea of longer nights and shorter days, but I could see myself here all fall in slippers and a bath robe.
Definitely my vote for best place to write a novel.

The idea of snuggling into one of these beds with a good book is what makes this an ideal space for fall. The colors are spot on and it just seems like it would envelope you.  The blanket, the suede on the beds...It's all so perfect.

Marian Akinloye did a fantastic job with this family room!  Again, I love the use of orange in the space.  The carpet is my favorite design element as it sets the tone for this serene atmosphere.
