Your support of Ayuda in 2012 has allowed Ayuda to:
- Provide legal and social assistance in over 4,200 cases to individuals hailing from more than 100 countries,
- Restart the innovative support group for Latina survivors of violence, Hermanas Unidas (Sisters United) which has lead 16 women on a path to healing,
- Give over 200 young people an understanding of the Obama Administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) at our Q&A workshops, of those 80 have filed applications so they can have a chance to come out of the shadows.
- Litigate successfully 23 Civil Protection Orders, special restraining orders so survivors of domestic violence, like Leticia, can safely leave their abusers and gain custody of their children, and
- Offer interpretation services in 42 languages to 29 legal service providers and 668 interpretation services throughout the District of Columbia.
